Who is Belinda Maher?

Belinda Maher has been immersed in the logistics industry for 35 years. At 19 years of age, she applied for her first job in the industry and has worked in many different departments since, getting to know the job from each angle. Ultimately, she ended up in the air freight department at Aries and says it is the intense environment and the pressure of making things happen that she enjoys.

During her tenure with Aries, Belinda says that the company has pushed her towards excellence by challenging her on a daily basis. She was drawn to Aries by a former employee and chose to make the move in 2018 because she admired the business structure and believes it is what sets them apart from the other forwarders in the industry.

Outside of the office, Belinda is passionate about spending time with her family. She is a mother to three children, who are all spread out over Texas – One of her kids attends college in San Antonio, the oldest lives in Kyle, and the middle lives in Dayton. While on the topic of family, Belinda mentioned that her children are her biggest inspiration. She goes on to say “They inspire me to succeed. When they were babies, they inspired me to challenge myself to be the best working mom I could. When they became adults, they inspired me to become the best version of myself both personally and professionally. They truly are my inspiration – the reason I am who I am today”.

As the Air Export Manager at Aries, Belinda’s main goal for her department is to build a seamless product with continued growth. One of the department’s recent accomplishments is the onboarding of newer and larger clients – this allows for weekly consolidations thus creating a smoother and quicker process for the whole team.

A quote Belinda lives by is “If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.” The air export department is made up of several talented and determined individuals and Belinda would like to shine a spotlight on one person in particular. “I wanted to give a shoutout to Jaime! He has become my rock. Jaime has the same love of the game as I do. He steps in and steps up without even asking and I truly trust him in my absence to keep the department running. Thank you for all of your help!”
